167 notes A progression of TYPE-MOON’s visual novels. I absolutely love everything TYPE-MOON, and it’s pretty cool to see how the art has gotten better. Featuring (from left to right): Tsukihime (2000), Kagetsu Tohya (2001), Fate/Stay Night (2004), Fate/Hollow Ataraxia (2005), Fate/stay night [Réalta Nua] (2007) and Mahōtsukai no Yoru (2012).
(I just want to point out that I’m pretty sure the CG of Sakura’s smile isn’t from Realta Nua but the original game, but Mahoyo’s art was also drawn by a different artist other than the other VNs, so the progression can only really be seen in the first five.)
(The artist from Mahoyo was actually the main colorist from FSN onwards, so you can at least still see progression with his coloring style! And you’re right about the lower left Sakura CG. Actually I think the Archer one on the same block might also be an original-game CG too……)
i really wish that shiki had sprites for the part in kohaku’s route when he and shiki are hanging out and he’s being all happy and doki-doki over playing with vending machines and stuff, i bet they’d be adorable
i mean he’s such a cutie but his only sprites and cg are from when he’s being yandere at akiha and is all drunk and crazy because trolololol kohaku
this game just needs more lucid shiki in general; drinking dreaming moon is the best part of kagetsu tohya
